Now in its seventh year, CROSSING EUROPE Film Festival Linz again devotes its program to willful, contemporary and socio-political auteur cinema from Europe. From 20 to 25 April 2010 CROSSING EUROPE offers international guests and local cinema audiences around 150 outstanding feature films, documentaries and short films.

Central tracks of the program like the European Panorama and the European Cinema Competition with prize money amounting to 10,000.- Euro await festival guests again, along with Tributes and Specials (including the focal point Working Worlds and films from music and youth culture), Night Sight devoted to the European horror genre, the Nightline every evening at the festival center in OK with unconventional musical live acts, and a selection of current filmmaking in Austria.
Also in 2010 the audience chooses the winning film for the ray audience prize, and a regional film or video work will be distinguished with the CROSSING EUROPE Award Local Artist with a total value of 6,000.- Euro. Entries for all program sections are still possible until 11 January 2010.
