The titular bridge is the Bosphorus Bridge that links Asia and Europe. The ‚men‘ are three young inhabitants of the Istanbul suburbs who use it daily. Every day, unaware of each other, Fikret, Umut and Murat intersect in the rush hour with millions of other Istanbulites, coping with the straits of fulfilling their aspirations in the big city. The story is based on the lives of the actors, depicting themselves in the original locations.

Aslι Özge, 1975 in der Türkei geboren, studierte Kommunikationswissenschaften an der Universität Istanbul und schloss 1999 die Regieausbildung für Film und Fernsehen an der Marmara-Universität ab. Özge erhielt sowohl für ihre Kurzfilme als auch ihren ersten Spielfilm Köprüdekiler zahlreiche Preise. Seit 2000 lebt und arbeitet sie in Deutschland.
