The Chemical Brothers: Don't Think

The Chemical Brothers: Don't Think

In 2011, at the iconic Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, The Chemical Brothers played a headline set in front of 50,000 fans. Immersing us in the thick of a frenetic crowd, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS: DON'T THINK captures the synaesthetic barrage of sound, film and light and the transforming effect it has on its audience. It's the first time the full Chemical Brothers’ live experience has been captured on film. Directed by Adam Smith, we are taken on a magical realist psychedelic journey where we feel the show rather than merely watch it. 21 cameras were placed in the centre of the stage as well as at the very heart of the crowd to perfectly capture a fan's eye view of the heightened emotional reactions of the audience seeing the band at their very best.

ADAM SMITH, studied film and video at London College of Printing before co-founding the visuals company “Vegetable Vision”, which created shows and installations for bands (including The Chemical Brothers, U2, Beth Orton), clubs, raves and events. Smith is also known for directing TV series, commercials and music videos. He has been working with The Chemical Brothers since their first gig in 1994, designing the surrealist and visionary video elements of the Chemical Brothers' live shows which have become synonymous with their work.
