International Festival Jury 

Ludmila Cvikova (The Netherlands/Slovakia)

Since 1997 Cvikova is one of the programmers for the International Film Festival in Rotterdam. Advisor for the Golden Apricot FF in Armenia, since 2008 she is a film selector for the Hubert Bals Fund and the Cinemart, both parts of the IFFR. She has organized numerous cultural events and retrospectives in and outside the Netherlands.

Tudor Giurgiu (Romania)

Born in Cluj in 1972. Producer/Director. Founder and President of the Transilvania Int. Film Festival, the biggest Romanian film festival. Founder of the production company Libra Film and the film distribution company Transilvania. 2008 EAVA graduate. His latest production, KATALIN VARGA, took part in 2009 in the Berlinale Competition and was awarded with a Silver Bear for outstanding Artistic Contribution. 

Nikolai Nikitin (Germany/Russia)

Born 1974 in Moscow. Studied film/television studies, art history and theater studies in Bochum. In 1995 he founded the film magazine “Schnitt”. Nikitin publishes film books, holds lectures, writes and translates articles for festival publications and moderates discussions revolving around the topic of film. Foreign Delegate for the official Berlinale Program.

Alexandra Seitz (Germany)

Born 1966 in Munich. Studied literature. Freelance film critic for tip magazine, Berliner Zeitung, ray film magazine, and others. Books about George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. Lives in Berlin. 

Seyfi Teoman (Turkey)

Born in Kayseri, Turkey in 1977. After studying economics at Bogazici University in Istanbul, he studied film directing at the Polish National Film School. In 2008 he directed his first feature SUMMER BOOK. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, was distinguished with awards and screened in prestigious film festivals. At the moment, he is working on his second feature, OUR GRAND DESPAIR.

Local Artists Jury

Hermann Greuel (Tromsø)

Director Nordic Youth Film Festival – NUFF. Originally from Germany, Greuel has lived in Tromsø, Norway, since 2001. After working for some years with music and theater, in the 80s he started working as film distributor and running an oV cinema in Berlin. In Tromsø he developed NUFF at the youth culture house TVIBIT and works with international projects in Murmansk, Gaza, South-Africa and others.

Barbara Musil (Vienna)

Born in Salzburg, Musil studied medicine in Graz and experimental Design in Linz. She works as a freelance artist on a conceptual and experimental basis focusing on video, new media, and art in public space. Numerous international projects, exhibitions, festival participations, and awards and scholarships. Barbara Musil created the CROSSING EUROPE festival trailer REPETITION (2009, 2010).

Edith Stauber (Linz)

Born 1968 in Linz, studied at the Art University Linz, Masterclass Visual Media Design / Film and Video with Janusz Kondratiuk. Has worked since 1994 in the field of documentary film, short film, animation. 2008 Cultural Award from the Province of Upper Austria / Section Film. Selected films: ÜBER EINE STRASSE (2004, in cooperation with Michaela Mair, CROSSING EUROPE 2004), EINTRITT ZUM PARADIES UM 3€20 (CROSSING EUROPE 2008).
