On the other side of life
On the other side of life describes the fate of 200000 people transported to the concentration camp Mauthausen between 1938 and 1945. They were oppo-nents of the Nazi regime, Jews, women, children, prisoners of war, or simply people who loved jazz. Half of the prisoners did not live to see liberation in May 1945. 70 years after survivors tell their very personal stories about deportation, death, friendship, solidarity and resistance.
Director's Biography
Greta Jamkojian, geb. 1961 in Beirut. Arbeit in verschiedenen Architekturbüros in Wien. Studienassistentin an der TU Wien. 2001 Diplom Architektur und Städtebau bei Kunibert Wachten in Wien. Arbeitsreisen nach Afrika, Asien, USA und in Europa. 2006 beginnt sie mit dem Filmemachen, seit 2007 Projektmanagement Vienna Design Weeks.
