Hard, Cracked the Wind

Jenkin's latest is a genuinely haunting ghost story, one simultaneously concrete and ethereal. Past and present subtly merge via a leather writing-case found in a bric-a-brac shop. Does the poet create the poem, or vice-versa?

Director's Biography
Mark Jenkin: Mark Jenkin was born in Cornwall, Great Britain, in 1970. He is an associate of Falmouth University where he lectures film and is the author of the "Silent Landscape Dancing Grain 13 Film Manifesto", promoting the possibilities of handmade film. He has made over 50 short films since 1997. In 2019, he made the short "Hard, Cracked the Wind" and the feature "Bait", which premiered at the Berlinale 2019.
