Superheroes
A group of activists, dressed up as comic-book heroes rob delicatessen stores and distribute their goods to kindergartens; a student holding down three part-time jobs empties the rubbish container from the bio-supermarket in order to be able to give her children a proper meal: this film, set in Hamburg, tells the story of these superheroes; it is the story of the precarious lives of middle-class youths, a story of conformity and resignation, and one of visions and spectacular actions.
Director's Biography
Janek Romero, geboren 1979 in Starnberg in Bayern, aufgewachsen in München. Einjähriger Aufenthalt in Syracuse, New York. Studium an der Fachhochschule Mainz (Audiovisuelle Gestaltung). Seit 2002 Student der Filmregie an der Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Realisierung von Werbe- und Imagefilmen bei KIK-TV. Praktikum beim Goethe-Institut Barcelona. Arbeit als Autor und Reporter für Barcelona Televisión. Lebt in Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg.
