FESTIVAL AWARDS Local Artists Shorts 2020

On Saturday, October 10th, 2020 the award ceremony took place in the Ursulinensaal as part of the “Local Artists Shorts at OÖ Kulturquartier” (in cooperation with OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH) - a conclusion of the three-day film program, which was all about Upper Austrian filmmaking and part our alternative program Crossing Europe EXTRACTS was. 51 short films were shown and numerous filmmakers gave an insight into their work during the film discussions. Two festival awards and a special mention were given by the Competition-Local Artist jury (Anna Ladinig, Anna Prischl, Siniša Vidović):

The award ceremony took place in the presence of numerous local film guests, industry representatives and representatives from funding agencies, sponsors and politics - including City Councilor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer, City Councilor Eva Schobesberger and Margot Nazzal, Director of Culture and Society for the Province of Upper Austria, and Georg Tremetzberger, Managing Director of CREATIVE REGION Linz & Upper Austria.

The award ceremony was musically accompanied by the musicians Beate Wiesinger (double bass), Astrid Wiesinger (saxophone / bass clarinet) and Clemens Sainitzer (violoncello / composition), who also produced the live setting of the short film 666TH HEAVEN in the Shorts 3 film program.
