Ninja Motherf*cking Destruction

Die Freundschaft zwischen der 18-jährigen Leonie und Marlene sollte für immer halten. Als sich Leonie jedoch in Naomi verliebt, verändern sich ihre Prioritäten. Sie stürzt sich in die intensive neue Beziehung, die ihr viel abverlangt: Naomis Depressionen werden zu einer großen Belastung. Um Zeit für sich zu haben, zieht Leonie von Berlin aufs Land nach Brandenburg und beginnt eine Ausbildung zur Gärtnerin. Acht Jahre später hat sich vieles verändert und sie ist bereit, wieder den Kontakt zu ihrer ehemals besten Freundin Marlene zu suchen. At 18, Leonie and Marlene are best friends, convinced that nothing in the world can tear them apart. But then Leonie falls in love with Naomi, and as she immerses herself in her first great love, she drifts further away from Marlene. However, Leonie increasingly finds the relationship with Naomi overwhelming, and only after their breakup does she realize how much she has isolated herself. She leaves Berlin and starts training as a gardener in Brandenburg, hoping to sort out her feelings and the world around her. But the past years have left their mark on everyone. (Letterboxd)
