PUSHED begleitet vier unterschiedliche Protagonisten der Skateboardszene in ihrem täglichen Leben, Schaffen und der Auseinandersetzung mit Skateboarding als In- und Outputquelle. Der Künstler und Grafiker Stefan Marx aus Hamburg, der Fotograf Adam Sello aus Berlin, der Beton-Avantgardist und Filmemacher Pontus Alv aus Malmö sowie der New Yorker Bobby Puleo, der Collagen aus Müll erstellt, den er während des Skatens findet, zeigen verschiedenste Herangehensweisen auf, wie man mit dem Einfluss eines Spielzeugs aus Holz und Polyurethan ein Gespür für Do-It-Yourself, visuelle Gestaltung, Raumwahrnehmung, aber auch eine kritische Herangehensweise in Bezug auf medialen Umgang und das Alter bekommen kann.

The protagonists in this densely filmed full-length documentary are photographer Adam Sello from Berlin, artist and designer Stefan Marx from Hamburg, concrete avantgardist and filmmaker Pontus Alv from Malmö and the urban artefact collector Bobby Puleo from New York. They have been followed for several days and weeks, giving insights into their everyday life, their work, their motives, their successes and failures. Although skateboarding is always connected to the people and the shown issues it stays in the back most of the time and tries to be what it was once for the protagonists: a big motivation and inspiration to do things.
