Spuren des Widerstands

Die Geschichte der Widerstandsgruppe „Willy-Fred“ steht paradigmatisch für die Möglichkeit des Auflehnens in einem System, in dem jede Form von Widerstand unmöglich schien. Sie ist dicht verwoben mit den Narrativen dieses Landes und steht manchen noch heute im Weg. Sie führt uns weit in die Zweite Republik und wirft Fragen auf, die auch 70 Jahre nach dem „Anschluss“ hoch aktuell sind.

The history of the resistance group “Willy-Fred” is a paradigm for the possibility of revolt in a system in which all forms of resistance seemed impossible. It is tightly interwoven with the narratives of this country and still is an obstacle for some today. It takes us well into the Second Republic and raises questions that are still highly topical 70 years after the “Anschluss”.

Director's Biography
Jörg Hartenthaler, geb. 1978 in Vöcklabruck. Studien in Salzburg, London, Washington D.C. und Wien. 2003 Mitgründer der Medienagentur Beast Communications in Wien. Christian Stoppacher, geb. 1978 in Graz, lebt als Produzent, Regisseur und Cutter in Wien. Film und Multimedia Studium in Salzburg und Southampton. Realisierte Musikvideos und Kurzfilme.
