Structural Filmwaste. Dissolution 2

Structural Filmwaste Dissolution 2 ist die Fortführung der Untersuchungen zur Zerstückelung der Zeit und des Bildes durch das Medium Video. Es ist der Versuch die ‚Materialität‘ dieses Illusionsträgers zu entlarven. Die ursprünglichen Abbildungen vom Filmmaterial an sich (Perforation, Bildstrich, Klebeband, usw.) wurden, der Bildauflösung von Video entsprechend, auf horizontale und vertikale Linien reduziert. Das Bild setzt sich dabei aus zwei unterschiedlichen Zeitstrukturen zusammen, die im Halbbildwechsel ineinander verschoben werden. (Siegfried Fruhauf)

Structural Filmwaste Dissolution 2 is the continuation of investigations into the fragmentation of time and images through video. It also represents an attempt to reveal he material nature of this vehicle of illusions. Depictions of a film strip (with sprocket holes, frame lines with a resolution comparable to that of video.
