Ende der achtziger Jahre: Drei Geschwister zwischen acht und 14 Jahren fliegen von Paris nach Rom, um die Weihnachtsferien bei ihrem geschiedenen Vater zu verbringen. Erzählt vornehmlich aus der Perspektive der kleinen Alma, die sich blauäugig die Wiederverheiratung ihrer Eltern vorstellt, läuft der Besuch bald schief – denn Papa ist mit dem Pitch eines Drehbuchs beschäftigt und Mama hat sowieso andere Pläne. Achtzigerjahre-Nostalgie ohne Kitsch, Sentiment ohne Zuckerguss: Elkanns fabelhaft besetzte Erzählung besticht mit atmosphärischen Details und ihrer Wahrhaftigkeit. (Roman Scheiber)

Alma, Jean and Sebastiano, the children of divorced parents, arrive in Rome from Paris on a visit to their father. During a holiday, the family’s tensions come to the surface. A trip back into childhood and the gilded atmosphere of the 1980s, seen through the eyes of three siblings clinging to the desire to feel like a family. Touching on dreams and responsibilities, Elkann directs her fine cast in a film that is gently but intensely moving, like a childhood memory. Director's Biography
Ginevra Elkann: Ginevra Elkann chairs Asmara Films and Good Films. She was assistant to director Bernardo Bertolucci on "Besieged" (1998). With Asmara Films she produced Babak Jalali’s 2009 "Frontier Blues", presented in Concorso at Locarno and, in 2013, "White Shadow" by Noaz Deshe.
