Sick Girls

In den letzten Jahren stieg die Zahl der Diagnosen von Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätsstörungen sprunghaft an. Was sind die Gründe dafür? (...) Mit diesem sehr persönlichen Dokumentarfilm macht sich Gitti Grüter, selbst seit der Pubertät mit ADHS diagnostiziert, auf die Suche nach Antworten. Mit fünf Frauen, denen die Medizin ebenjene Störung bescheinigte, spricht Grüter über Konzentrationsschwächen, Impulsivität, Reizüberflutung, Beziehungsprobleme, Depressionen und Schlaflosigkeit. Im Verlauf der offenen Gespräche wird immer deutlicher, wie schwer es gerade Frauen mit ADHS haben, weil soziale Stereotype des Weiblichen die richtige Diagnose oft verhindern oder verzögern.
