Zu zweit in Rom, vorbei ist der Versuch, sich einer Reise zu erinnern mit Hilfe der Bilder, die damals 222 andere Touristen in Rom von uns gemacht haben. Menschen aus unterschiedlichsten Weltgegenden wissen, was es bedeutet, wenn jemand auf sie zukommt, in der einen Hand die Kamera, sich nach hinten umwendend zu dem Ensemble, vor dem man abgelichtet werden möchte, und freundlich lächelt. Das Ergebnis sind minimale Variationen des Themas „Excuse me, could you take a picture of us?“, unser persönliches Recycling eines lang zurückliegenden Ereignisses und die langsame Aufarbeitung einer verflossenen Beziehung. Zu Zweit in Rom, Vorbei is the attempt to remember a journey with the help of pictures that 222 other tourists in Rome took of us at the time. People from all different parts of the world know what it means when someone approaches them holding a camera, turns around to the ensemble, in front of which they wish to be photographed, and smiles in a friendly manner. The result is minimal variations on the theme „Excuse me, could you take a picture of us?“, our personal recycling of an event long past, and the grad- ual closure of a relationship that is over. (M.
