Charly

Nicolas, gespielt von Kolia Litscher, ist 14 Jahre alt. Als er „Frühlings Erwachen“ von Frank Wedekind zu lesen beginnt, packt ihn der Wunsch, aus der lieblosen Enge bei seinen greisen Pflegeeltern zu entfliehen. Er stiehlt ein wenig Geld und schlägt sich als Anhalter Richtung Meer durch. Unterwegs liest ihn die junge Gelegenheits-Prostituierte Charly (Marie-Julie Parmentier) auf und quartiert ihn in ihrem ärmlichen Wohnwagen ein. Nicolas, der mit Charly eine gemeinsame Sprache findet, als sie das Theaterstück von Wedekind proben, kommt dem Erwachsenwerden, dem Meer und sich selbst ein wenig näher.

Nicolas,14-year-old adolescent, not particularly brilliant at school and ill at ease with his elderly foster parents, accidentally lays his hands on a play by Wedekind. A postcard is folded into the book as a bookmark. On its front we see the sea at Belle-Ile-en-Mer. In the cheerless life of this solitary, gangling young man, a fierce desire is born. Nicolas, in all regards the personification of an adolescent who is on the brink of transition to adulthood and has no idea who he will become, steals some money and hitchhikes towards the coast. He gets stranded somewhere along the way and meets the young prostitute Charly, who is a few years older and only seems to have a more developed identity. Direct, over-organised and bossy, she allows the kid into her life.
