My Grandmother and I ist das Portrait von Ann-Christine Haupts Großmutter. Diese ist in Muonio, einem kleinen Sámi-Dorf, in einem Zelt aufgewachsen. Nach der Heirat ist sie von ihrer Heimat wegezogen. Die Entwurzelung hat ihr so sehr zugesetzt, dass sie nie über ihre Vergangenheit gesprochen hat. Ihre Liebe zur Sámi-Kultur und ihren Wurzeln zeigte sie lediglich in ihrem Handwerk und ihrer Kochkunst.
A warm, loving portrait of the director‘s grandmother, born in a cot in a small Sámi village in the north of Finland. Upon marrying, she left her home, and never spoke of her past. She expressed love for the Sámi culture through her handicrafts and everyday life.
Regie Biografie
Ann-Christine Haupt, geboren 1947 in Schweden, hat 30 Jahre lang in der Universitäts-Bibliothek in Luleå gearbeitet. 2003 begann sie ein Filmstudium in Enare, Finnland.
