Faik, ein pensionierter Forstarbeiter, bekommt Besuch von seinem Sohn Nusret und den beiden Enkeln. Das Familienoberhaupt bewirtschaftet ein Stück Land und liegt seit langem im Streit mit einer Gruppe Nomaden hinter den Bergen. Was als stimmungsvolles Treffen dreier Generationen geplant war entwickelt sich schnell in einen desaströsen Zustand aus Gewalt und Konflikten. Alper porträtiert gekonnt eine Familie, die umgeben von einer bezaubernden Naturkulisse ihre eigenen Abgründe entdeckt und schließlich tatenlos mit ansehen muss, wie das Unheil über sie herein bricht.

After his retirement from the state forestry office, Faik moved back to his hometown and started to work the land he inherited from his grandfather. A sharecropper family takes care of his lands and his flock of goats. His son and his two grandsons arrive on a hot summer day for vacation. They come at a time when Faik’s conflict with the neighboring nomads is escalating. The gathering provokes both the unsettled family disputes and the family members’ conflicts with the sharecropper family.
