Slalom

Die 15-jährige Lyz bekommt durch die Aufnahme in ein Profiteam die Chance auf eine Karriere als Skirennläuferin. Trotz ihres Talents gestaltet sich der Anfang schwierig, und sie muss härter als die anderen trainieren. Ihr Trainer Fred erkennt ihr Potential, dementsprechend fördert er Lyz. Der harte Trainingsalltag, straff organisiert, lässt sie mehr und mehr Zeit miteinander verbringen, was sie auch der Eifersucht ihrer Teamkolleg*innen aussetzt. 15 year-old Lyz, a high school student in the French Alps, has been accepted to a highly selective ski club whose aim is to train future professional athletes. Fred, ex-champion turned coach, decides to make Lyz his shining star regardless of her lack of experience. Talented, and made vulnerable by her single-minded determination to succeed on the slopes, Lyz is keen to impress her mentor, unaware that his interest in her strays way beyond the professional. This impressing debut delves with delicacy into the confusion experienced by a minor suffering abuse at the hands of a trusted role model.
