Wenn Éva ihre Wohnung verlassen will, muss sie einen Raumanzug tragen, denn sie ist auf so gut wie alles allergisch: Feinstaub, Chemiefasern, Weichmacher, Funkwellen, Zusatzstoffe. Oder ist es schlicht das moderne Leben in der Großstadt, das sie mit dem Tod bedroht? Oder die eigene Angstneurose? Oder die Ärzte, die an ihr herumexperimentieren? Ein Psychiater versucht zu helfen und wirft die Frage nach einer möglichen Rettung durch Liebe auf. Éva lives cut off from the outside in her sterile apartment. She's allergic to just about everything. Her sole contact with the world is her brother, who brings her food and keeps her company. This situation changes when András enters her life – a psychiatrist who will advise her in a court case about whether Éva's condition is caused by pollution, or whether her mental state is so fragile that she herself is the cause of her allergies. Is she sick, or is the world making her sick? Ágnes Kocsis explores the ambiguity of modern world suspended between sustainability and emptiness. (International Film Festival Rotterdam)

Regie Biografie
Ágnes Kocsis, born in Hungary, in 1971, majored at Eötvös Lóránd University in Polish language and literature, aesthetics, and film theory. With FRESH AIR, her first feature, she won several prizes, including Best First Feature at the Hungarian film week, and the FIPRESCI Award in Warsaw. ADRIENN PÁL won the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes' Un Certain Regard section. EDEN is her third feature.
