Die Marseillerin Nora ist das Herz und die Seele ihrer großen Familie, die sie mit Liebe, aber auch ihrem kleinen Einkommen unterstützt: Am Morgen arbeitet sie als Reinigungskraft, am Nachmittag als Pflegerin. Als ihr Sohn eines Tages wegen eines Überfalls auf eine Tankstelle verhaftet wird, tut Nora nach anfänglichem Schock alles, um ihn im unerbittlich näherkommenden Prozess zu unterstützen … Mit dokumentarisch anmutender Handkamera erzählt Herzi eine Geschichte, die sowohl von brennenden sozialen Fragen erzählt, wie sie – nicht zuletzt dank der authentischen Laiendarstellerin Halima Benhamed in der Hauptrolle – zu berühren vermag.
