Borderland
Knappe drei Jahrzehnte, nachdem er in GRENZLAND – EINE REISE die Region Deutschland-Polen-Tschechien entlang der Flüsse Oder und Neiße erkundete, macht sich Voigt neuerlich auf den Weg und schaut, was sich seither so getan und wie die nominelle Grenzenlosigkeit Europas sich auf das einstmalige Randgebiet ausgewirkt hat. Er trifft Australier in Polen, einen Syrer im deutschen Hinterland, eine Ostfrau im Westen, Ent- und Neuverwurzelte, die diesem Landstrich, der immer schon im Umbruch war und es blieb, sein spezifisches Gepräge verleihen. Hier sind Migration und Heimat Sedimente der Geschichte, die einander nicht ausschließen. (Alexandra Seitz)
