A Parked Life

Fast ein Jahrzehnt ist Petar schon als Fernfahrer tätig. Viele europäische Länder hat er gesehen, Urlaubsstimmung kam allerdings nie auf: Der Job ist einsam, monoton, fordernd – und wird zunehmend zur psychischen Belastung. Noch bleibt Petar dabei, weil er seinem Sohn ein besseres Leben ermöglichen will, doch die lange Abwesenheit von daheim führt zu Spannungen in seiner Ehe. Wird er den Kontakt ganz verlieren? Das dokumentarische Roadmovie punktet mit atmosphärischen Bildern Europas vom warmen Süden bis zum verschneiten Norden, wobei die Bilder nie den harten Alltag des Protagonisten überstrahlen, der im Wortsinn droht, vom Weg abzukommen – und als Stellvertreter einer Branche mit menschenunwürdigen Arbeitsbedingungen gesehen werden kann.
