Adoration
Genre-hopping Fabrice du Welz undertakes a fantastic trip into the abyss of the soul. 12-year old Paul lives with his mum in a remote forest in the private psychiatric clinic where she works. He spends his days roaming the woods and observing nature. But his life changes radically when 15-year old Gloria, a new schizophrenia patient, arrives in the clinic. Paul is fascinated by her – and a strong bond between the two develops. Together they break out of the clinic and disappear into the forest on a journey to the heart of madness. (Filmfest Hamburg)
