Salzkammergut 2024: Let's Live Together - Communities and Culture on Screen

16 - 21 September 2024, Ebensee

As part of the Salzkammergut 2024 (program of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut), the Kulturverein Kino Ebensee and Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz are presenting a joint, two-part project that uses the medium of film to enable a low-threshold exploration of the topic of community and different forms of social and cultural coexistence:
Let's Live Together - Communities and Culture on Screen offers several film screenings followed by film discussions and a video project in which young people use creative cinematic means to explore the theme of the project.

Screenings of current European films (Kino Ebensee)

Hand-picked films from Europe offer exciting and horizon-broadening insights into different European communities and present various models of living together. Partly set in rural areas and in the context of current social realities and developments, the audience is immersed in multifaceted stories of life in today's Europe. Subsequent film discussions open up space for discourse and a deeper examination of the films shown and their themes.

Video project for young people (Ebensee town hall)

In the video project, the participating young people deal artistically with the topic of the project by creating their own short films or short videos. They receive professional support from mentors from the community TV station DORFTV (http://www.dorftv.at).
With this project, Kulturverein Kino Ebensee and Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz want to promote the cultural and creative diversity of the region and open up new perspectives for social and intergenerational (co)living.
