Das unmögliche Bild
The Impossible Picture
Vienna in the 1950s: a childhood captured on 8 mm film, recorded by
thirteenyear-old Johanna. A childhood as it occurred in the past – or at least, in memory. Fragments of a family history permeated
by a particular secret. A household full of women and in it, one constant element: the grandmother Maria Steinwendner who
organizes weekly cooking clubs. But somehow, no cooking ever takes place.
