Ferien

Deep in the Uckermark woods north of Berlin, Anna and her husband Robert live with their teenage son Max. When Laura, Anna‘s grown daughter from a previous marriage, arrives during the summer holidays, she brings with her news of discord in her marriage to Paul. When Anna‘s mother is hospitalized and Laura‘s sister Sophie arrives from overseas, a gentle roiling of secrets and pent-up resentments destabilizes the family. With an underlying dramatic unease Arslan creates an air of tension in direct conflict with placid shots of summer tableaux. (Eddie Cockrell)
