Ilja
The organism of music, the organism of the composer: can one serve as
a metaphor for the other? Intrepid composer Ilja Zeljenka was Slovakia’s leading name in film music. This half-hour piece,
both lyrical contemplation and valuable testimony, is chiefly structured around his music and interviews conducted shortly
before his death. (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
