Immer wieder geht die Sonne auf
Again and Again the Sun Rises
The football club FC Blau-Weiss Linz celebrated its 20-year anniversary
in 2017. But the establishment of the club was preceded by a sham merger between the precursor club SK VÖEST with the city
rival LASK by their respective chairmanships. The film illustrates how the small workers’ club fought its way back into professional
football. A new generation of fans developed, famous beyond country borders for their courageous actions against discrimination.
Interviews and extensive archive material complete the portrait of the first traditional football club in Austrian football
history that was re-established by fans.
