Halle/Neustadt revisited: Thomas Heise returns to Saxony-Anhalt for the third time, following STAU - Jetzt geht’s los (1992) and Neustadt (Stau - Der Stand der Dinge) (2000). The adolescents from then have grown up, the conditions have not improved. In cool, black and white images Heise takes us through Eastern German (post-)industrial landscapes and layers of time, focusing on fragments of a family life: Jeanette has become a bus driver, the children play football or guerilla war in derelict houses.
