Namrud (Troublemaker)
Jowan Safadi, Palestinian-Israeli, is a famous musician with a huge fanbase in the Arab world. Jowan is unafraid to tackle taboo subjects, which has also courted controversy on several occasions: Previously investigated by Israeli police for "inciting terrorism", his latest tour to Jordan ended with his arrest. However, his 15-year-old son Don has recently moved in with him. Now Jowan has a whole new challenge: He has to take responsibility as a parent.
Director's Biography
Fernando Romero Forsthuber
Born in Seville in 1983, Fernando came to Vienna at 17 and immediately began to work in the film industry. Two years later, he made his first trip to Israel. There he started to work with Palestinian musicians as a director/producer for their music videos. In Austria he established a good reputation in the field of music videos, image films and commercials.
