Land Legs

Dom, 36 years old, is a sailor on board of the fishing boat Petit Gael II from the port of Les Sables d’Olonne, a small town in western France. He’s used to leaving for the open sea for at least three weeks in a row. Inspite of his absences, his teenaged children decided to live with their father after their parents’ divorce. But when his daughter Mailys gets pregnant, Dom has to make a decision … Based on a true story, reenacted by Dominique Leborne and his family.

Director's Biography
SAMUEL COLLARDEY is an award-winning French director and cinematographer. His directorial debut, the graduation film Du soleil en hiver, received awards at the Cannes International Film Festival and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. His first feature, The Apprentice, received the The Louis Delluc Prize for Best First Film in 2008.
